Spring high school musical season getting ready to roll in Central NY

The high school musical season officially will kick off in early February. The season will continue through April and includes classic shows like «Oklahoma!» and «Fiddler on the Roof» and a wide array of performances such as «Footloose the Musical,» «Young Frankenstein,» «Annie,» «Catch Me If You Can» and «Bullets Over Broadway.»

Early shows this year include students from West Genesee High School putting on «Anything Goes.» Opening night is Thursday, Feb. 8 and there are also two more performances through Saturday Feb. 10.

Jamesville DeWitt High School students will do three performances of «All Shook Up» Friday, Feb. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 11. It’s a musical comedy inspired by and featuring the classic ’50s songs of rock legend Elvis Presley.
